Born in New Jersey in 1964, Harry Allen received a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. In 1993, he established Harry Allen Design, and since then, he has designed furniture, lighting, products and interiors for a wide variety of international clients. Harry’s work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn, Denver and Philadelphia Museums of Art. His awards include the Brooklyn Museum of Art’s Modernism/Young Designer Award and two Industrial Design Society of America IDEA Awards. Harry’s interest in art and innovation has led to some of the most intelligent products and interiors in the world today.

Part of Harry Allen's Reality Series, the Box Turtle Box was cast from a turtle that died of natural causes. Its shell opens to reveal a secret compartment for storing small objects.
